Learned on his father’s roof. Doing it his own way.
Christian grew up in his father’s roofing business. He learned the trade the only way you really can — on the ladder, on the roof, watching what shortcuts cost you three winters later.
In 2025 he broke off and started Patriot to run it his own way: slower, cleaner, and built on the kind of detail that most contractors in the Des Moines metro don’t bother with. No high-pressure quotes. No corner-cutting. Just the work, done the way his father would have done it.
Three trades. One standard.
Roofing, gutters, and insulation, all under one license. Same attention to detail on a 900 sqft attic as on a full roof replacement.
- 04 Seamless Gutters 5-inch and 6-inch profiles. Custom-run on-site to the exact length of your fascia.
- 05 Gutter Repair Re-pitch, re-seal, re-hang. Fix what’s fixable instead of replacing what isn’t broken.
- 06 Downspout Installation Proper drops, splash blocks, underground extensions to keep water off the foundation.
- 07 Gutter Guards Micro-mesh and solid-cover systems for maple, oak, and cottonwood country.
- 08 Blown-In Insulation Loose-fill for attics and hard-to-reach cavities. R-value to Iowa code and beyond.
- 09 Fiberglass Insulation Non-settling, moisture-resistant, the Iowa standard for attic and wall cavities.
- 10 Cellulose Insulation Recycled-paper fill with higher R-per-inch for tighter cavities and older homes.
- 11 Spray Foam Insulation Closed-cell and open-cell. Commercial and residential rim-joist, attic, and wall work.
- 12 Air Sealing The invisible upgrade. Seal the envelope first, then let insulation do its job right.
- 13 Basement Insulation Rim-joist and wall systems that keep Iowa winters out and energy bills down.
- 14 Insulation Removal Old, compacted, rodent-damaged, or contaminated. Out clean, ready for a proper replacement.
Four steps. No surprises.

01
Step one
The walkthrough
Christian walks the property with you, measures, and explains what he’s seeing. No sales script, no high-pressure quote, no “we can start tomorrow if you sign today.”
Roof, gutters, attic — whatever the project, you get a straight-shooter assessment and a real conversation about what your home actually needs.
-
02
Step two
Written estimate
Detailed line items, materials, labor, timeline, and warranty breakdown. Nothing in the fine print you didn’t talk through out loud first.
Turnaround is 48 hours or less. If something about the estimate doesn’t make sense, you call Christian directly and he walks you through it.
-
03
Step three
The work
Clean setup. Landscaping tarped. Magnet sweeps for nails. Daily cleanup so your driveway isn’t a construction zone for a week.
You’ll know who’s on your property, when they’re arriving, and when the job is expected to wrap. Communication is not extra, it’s the standard.

04
Step four
The handoff
Final walk with you, warranty paperwork, a gift basket on the counter, and Christian’s personal cell phone number.
If something isn’t right a month from now, a year from now, or five winters from now, that number still gets answered. That’s the handoff.
Four seasons. Four calls.
Iowa weather writes its own work order. Here’s when most homeowners pick up the phone, and what we tend to do when they do. We work year-round either way.
Spring
The thaw shows what winter did. Inspections, insurance work, and anything the ice pulled off the edge.
- Post-winter inspection
- Hail and wind claims
- Ice dam repair
- Fascia and soffit
Summer
Peak build window. Full tear-offs, full insulation overhauls, and the biggest jobs on the calendar run now.
- Full roof replacement
- Attic insulation upgrade
- Ventilation and ridge
- New-build roofs
Fall
The pre-winter push. Gutters cleared, insulation topped up, anything loose locked down before snow lands.
- Gutter cleaning and guards
- Insulation top-up
- Pre-winter roof check
- Downspout extensions
Winter
Emergency season. Leaks, ice dams, heat loss. Crews run through the cold when the forecast demands it.
- Emergency leak response
- Ice dam removal
- Heat loss diagnostics
- Thermal imaging
Off season? Still pick up the phone. Half our best insulation jobs happen when the neighbors aren’t thinking about it yet.
Start a conversation →Jobs. Not portfolios.
A handful of recent projects across the Des Moines metro. No staged drone shots, no filler. Just the work, what it was, and what went into it.
